Hi Me again the "old" car you found could be a 39-40 Buick 8 Sedan with a split window Looking at the frame you can see the hinges on the driver's side passenger door were to the right side and the latch would have been on the left. The small side windows are also a dead giveaway. You're welcome. 😉

I agree with others, that car at about 28:00 in is a Buick Skyhawk or one of the "H" body variants. That casting number comes back to a 231 CID Buick V6 engine.

Ohh yes! the Buick Skyhawk! I was close thinking it looked like a Chevy Monza with that one piece of rear window trim and the hatch bent off to the side.
@charliehayward63567 ай бұрын
That first pair of cars looks like a 1935-38 large GM (4 door) sedan (Chevy, Olds, etc. all offered straight 8s) and a 1954 Mercury. The Merc might be a two-door which would make it more interesting to car people.... The casting number on that intake manifold later in the video is from a 71 to 73 Buick V8 motor. The last car looks like it has a late 30s to early 40s style bumper.

I would say its a Buick because they used overhead valve engines in the 30s. It was their selling point. Other cars would still valves in the block visible. That said, someone took the head and carried it back out of there!
@JoeBob19557 ай бұрын
Car lying on top of the straight eight appears to be a 1952-54 Ford. Straight eight was an overhead valve rather than a flathead, so likely a Buick.

I think I unsolved the mystery of the "lone" car you found, it made me sick to my stomach when I found out what it was. According to records in 2019 two men suffered major injuries when the 56-year-old driver lost control of his Audi R8 and went 150 ft over the cliff side, The R8 fits the description and probably looked like a pinto after taking that abuse tumbling down the hill. Idk if you are familiar with R8s but they have V10 motors. A beautiful-looking car when they haven't been totaled. Goes to show you no matter what type of car or how expensive a car is when they go down a cliff they all look like a FORD "Found Off Road Destroyed". Drive safe stay low and avoid the radar.
