I had to watch in silence as this tiny apartment we live in doesn't have much room for privacy while Jay watches his shoot-em-up movies. But, I didn't need 'narration' ....there was just so much visual beauty in this. And what a treat to see all of your grandchildren at the end. Why, I remember when you're oldest one was born. We have a story about the Nativity and there's something said about each of the farm animals. The blue donkey has a place of Honor. It was his warm breath that kept the baby Jesus warm, and so on all of our Nativities, he lies just behind the baby Jesus. Once there, you won't notice that he is a bluish gray color, but it's Presence really Adds alot to the scene. I hope you will reconsider and place the donkey where he belongs. He spent the night fanning the small fire to keep the Holy Family warm. As a reward for his efforts, the Virgin Mary told him, "In Honor of all your efforts in front of the fire, from this day forward, You shall wear a Red breast, the color of the flames. Wow, this house is impressive. I loved the Laura Ingalls Wilder readings. The Little House books were what made me discover how much I liked reading as a child. I must say, our Christmas will be more like the Christmas of those times. Money is short and cupboards are almost bare. But the true meaning of Christmas is in our hearts this year.
