Thanks so much! You're right about the bacon, it really sets it off. My mom made it when I was growing up, but she didn't add the bacon. She also used whole milk, because we rarely had cream. Occasionally, we had Half & Half, so mom would use that. In the summer, my dad would stop at one of the local farm markets on his way home from work and pick up some fresh corn. It was SO good! Hey there, Denise! Fried corn is an old southern favorite and if you make it, I'm sure that you'll see why. I could make a meal on just that alone, but Ron always wants more, lol. Hi there, hoe can you tell when the corn is cooked enough? Is there a time or a color that the corn turns to? Or do you taste a piece? Thanks for this new variation of cooking corn. It depends on how done you like it. I usually only cook mine until it becomes a brighter yellow and still has a little crunch. My father used to want his cooked down until it was mushy (which I really don't like, lol). Once it changes color, just give it a taste and see if it's to your liking. Thanks so much for watching!
