Thank You Chris, I 've been wondering about this corn dish for about 10 years. My mother use to make this dish a least twice a month when I was growing up, now I'.m 62 years old. This was the best corn recipe that I have eaten. Great side dish.

I appreciate your recipe, My Grandma used to make fried corn and I had not made it in years and had almost forgotten how she made it, not quite the way you made it but I made yours and it was delicious. since I know how to cook and can look at your video and follow the steps, some inexperienced cooks may get confused. If you added the instructional steps to the recipe it might be helpful. You are an exceptional down home soul food cook I love your recipes since they are so close to the way that I cook. Keep them coming 😁👍🏾

In the 1970's and up until my mother pass in 2008, she use to make this smothered corn. before she dead I didn't ask her how to prepare it. I wanted to make my family some of this delicious corn dish for years. Thank You Chris for your recipe. Make God continue to bless you. Ms. Mickey

Thank you! I have been searching for someone who cooked fried corn like my momma did. She fried fresh corn off the cob and it looked just like yours. I have just watched 3 other videos before yours and they were all creamed corn consistency, too much sauce to corn. Yours looks perfect! When you said something about hearing the sizzle when you scrap the corn back that you know the corn is done, I was so excited because your corn was perfection! I know it had to taste so similar to my momma's. If you had actually cut that corn and scraped the cob, I know the flavor would be just like hers, heavenly! I imagine even your canned corn one was near perfect, too. I am going to try and make this now that I watched you. I might give it a try with frozen corn too, maybe even scrape some off the cob when the corn comes in. :) I just subscribed.

This is one of my favorite dishes and I'm going to try your method because my corn really doesn't taste like much. I usually add a little bit of bell pepper and onion which gives it a good flavor but I'm going to try your method next with my additional bell pepper and onion that I put in my corn thanks for sharing

When I turned on my Y-TUBE I'm so glad you're the one that popped up with one of my favorite side dishes. I love cooking and eating fried corn! Do you ever use bacon or fat back grease instead of butter? May God bless you and your family Always 🙏

Yummy, but try putting cream cheese instead of flour the next time. Mix all ingredients the same except the flour. Use 1/4 pkg for each can of corn or use 1 pkg of cream cheese to early bag of frozen corn. Use more or less to your taste. I think you might like it.
