Repco is clearing out their RPU509 metal water pump pulley for $2 if you can find one. Instead of replacing the whole water pump which is a bastard of a job. I highly recommend a Kelpro metal power steering pulley.

Bugger!. 2nd for the metal pulley replacement Am still amazed that up to AU 6cyl, Ford still used the power steering pump from the XC falcon!!!. Glad that they changed it for the AU 5.0

I learned the hardway about replacing those plastic pulleys yearly on my B series & FG- cheap insurance, I also got a set of proper metal ones with replacable bearings for my Tornado though as it was like an extra $80 for all steel with the smaller balancer. Funny thing too- B series V8's had all metal pulleys, not sure of F series XR8's

Been told its rare for them too fail, mine only failed due to the car only running water in the radiator and rusted out the HG. A hard lesson learned but now my au forte has a xr6 engine i got for free so worked out in the end.

My car is trying to throw a power steer/alternator belt but isn't very good at it, so it's just slipping. So sometimes I have power steering and sometimes I don't, which is mint. Cars, eh - indeed.

Don't worry Sean, My Holden VY V8 ute decided to throw me an ABS module failure code. No wreckers have them, Holden has only one left in Bussleton WA for $1300 & after half a day searching, I found a company that refurbishes them for $800 & $200 cashback if you send in your old unit.
