The next type of rose I want to show you is the Hybrid Perpetual. This is a catch-all class of the repeat bloomers mostly bred in the 1800's from China and other old garden rose ancestry. Some of my very favorite roses come from this class: 'Baron Girod de l'Ain', 'Souvenir du Docteur Jamain' and others. Quite cold hardy as a group, with decent repeat flowering, and usually a very good perfume.
