Its actually filmed mostly in South Carolina. I live about an hour from a few of thm main locations. Sullivan's Island, Hunting Island State Park (lighthouse), parts of downtown Charleston, Beaufort and the inlets around the areas. The story is set in NC but filmed mostly in SC and a little in NC. I recognize almost every location in the show lol it's cool seeing my home state on Netflix.

This show's plot reminds me of a scooby doo episode where the ghost of a lighthouse keeper is haunting the light house and sinking ships to find the treasure hidden beneath the waves that eluded him during life. Ended up being a local business owner sinking ships to drive other businesses down and find treasure. I'm also 5 minutes into this video so that opinion might change.
