Rows and flows of angel hair. And ice cream castles in the air. And feather canyons everywhere.

You’re blowing me away at the miles you start off with you said I think that you were a marathon runner?

Thank you for the views from Mount Baden-Powell. It’s been a few years since I was there. Your comprehensive video show things have not changed.

Thanks again for going through the trouble of vlogging your trek. It helps another old guy who will be on the trail next year. I'll need to up my fitness a bit to get close to your pace.

I appreciate the unique perspective you bring to your hike. Your methodical approach brings this important message to me: prepare! Test your strength and be ready before you go out there. More likely to succeed and enjoy the journey. Take cafe and stay ell. :-)

Thanks for taking the time to do the Vblog. Great to see you doing the big miles. Will be interesting to see how it plays our for you. With the miles you are doing I am sure you have some goals in mind. I would be great if you took the time to express them.... I am curious how much food (weight or calories) you are packing from Acton to Kennedy Meadows?? I was going to do the AT this this year, but postponed it due to the closure of the Smokies to through hikers.... So I am doing some hiking in the Sierras and the Colorado trail instead. AT in 2021

I took too few calories per day. Needing to put on some weight in KM before I enter the Sierra.

Great Mileage. Your effort will help motivate me to run my own self supported marathon in San Diego this Sunday. Hike On. 🥾

Yer hilarious!!! I just found your vlogs and can’t wait to keep following your journey. You remind me so much of my dad who retired from the federal government finally 2 years ago and was in the USAF reserves all of my life. In fact after I was born it was 8 months later he quit active duty. Be safe!!!

Really enjoying your videos. Can't believe the miles you're doing. Since you call yourself the "old man" wondered your age, 55? My son and his wife are ahead of you at Walker Pass. Think he beats your age. He's 64. He's also posting videos. Keep going strong. Will keep watching with interest.

You call yourself old!? How old? I want to do the Oregon section of the PCT and I am old!
@honeycurrentcook49674 жыл бұрын
My brother is 57 years old. He took the moniker “Oldman and the Sea” from Hemingway’s novel. He is taking on his own beast - the PCT.
@oldmanandtheat30934 жыл бұрын
57 years old. Technically, that is old for a thru-hiker.
@markcummings68564 жыл бұрын
Old Man and the PCT 43% of thru hikers per year on the AT are retirees.
