Old Man Kensey (R.E.M. cover)

Track 5 from Fables, one of the band's more abstruse songs - this is a simplified version, played live (some small fixups and a shaker notwithstanding).
Does Stipe really sing "John, Bill and Ted" in that chorus? Having forensically investigated numerous versions of the song I say no, but I also don't have any better suggestions :( so let's go with it. What do words even mean anyway?

This is one of my favorite R.E.M songs. You did a beautiful job with it. Your voice, guitar and bass are dreamy and trippy, and it's incredibly awesome. ✌️🎶
