@@dominicn No one said that that Saylor was an idiot or that they hated him. Asness said that what Saylor said in the clip was dumb, because it simply was. I think that even Saylor knows that what he said was dumb, but saying something that wasn't dumb probably wasn't his intention.

This show is awesome. I went to work on Wall Street (literally - 45 Wall Street, corner of Wall and William, I think it's condo's now) at US Trust in June of 1989, so I'm in my 36th year in the investment business. So many of your guests take me back to my early days and great memories of downtown, the Seaport, and cold $1 glass bottles of beer on my Staten Island Ferry ride home. I listen to every episode because you strike the perfect balance of providing timely insights and excellent data with a healthy dose of quintessential NYC humor. I tell everyone I know to tune in. There is only one small thing you could do to make the show better....stop bleeping out the F-Bombs! LOL! Thanks for what you do!

@ Honestly i’ve heard some of the worst takes about MSTR the past week from seemingly super smart investment people. If you don’t think what they are doing is sustainable, ok I get that, but people calling it a ponzi doesn’t know what a ponzi is. Saylor isn’t promising any returns, or hiding what he is doing. He is open and honest about the strategy, and you either believe it will keep working, and invest, or not.
@DDMSakb483 күн бұрын
@@WallStMario Cliff is definitely a smart guy just like Michael Saylor. The problem is people like to talk xxxt about something they don't know. He says he has not studied Bitcoin, then why not just say you don't know and shut your mouth.🤣

While I agree that MSTR only deserves this valuation based on the premium it gets from implied volatility, comparing Saylor to some dude that won the lottery is such a poor statement. He made a calculated investment that paid off, so there is some meat on the bones when it comes to his advice. It shows how traditional investment managers are so indulged in their own interpretation of the world that anything that is unorthodox is dismissed as trash. The fact that 90% of these funds trail the passive index is not really a surprise. As for MSTR, the IV premium will come down when BTC matures and it will eventually trade at a lower premium to the BTC value on its books. But it won't matter if BTC returns continue to be massive.

Old men just don´t get it. MSTR is a glitch in the regulatory system. It gives access to Bitcoin for investors otherwise cut off from buying Crypto. That in itself i worth a lot for those investors. When they change accounting principals next year, any move in their BTC holdings is considered earnings....Then Old men can apply their WACC or DCF models and figure out the value. What is the value of a stock with earnings growth of 25-40% per year?
@satoshimoshi9463 күн бұрын
Comparing what Saylor has done is like buying lottery tickets is just ridiculous. Great episode, but if you're not actually going to take the time to learn about Bitcoin or MSTR just stay in your lane as you told Kevin about comics.
