You should have included The Falls Motel and The Snelling Motel both in south Minneapolis. In the ‘70’s and ‘80’s you could rent rooms by the hour. Not exactly upscale but like the song says, “looking for a chateau, 21 rooms but one will do. Don’t want to buy it, just want to rent it for an hour or two”.

I remember the Leamington in downtown. Used to stay there when my dad came into town in the 70s. Remember a couple of the ones you covered too. Nice work.

You missed the classic Thunderbird motel in Bloomington. It was one of the most iconic inns around. You couldn't miss the totem pole sign and the large Indian motif cruising up I494.

Here are a few really cool old Minneapolis hotels/motels that you missed: The Curtis Hotel, Hotel Lexington, Ambassador Motor Hotel, Thunderbird Hotel

Mina-Snow-ta. Yep the limo, were really fancy Lol... I was told in Rodchester that there is a Kayler. Southdale is a mall that was the biggest in MN in 1957, its in Edina. I can't believe that I haven't noticed it. I travel along Lindale a lot. The skyscraper is a 1930's tower, its called Foshay Tower. Thanks for posting..! Retro

Nice work on your video. How about the Radison South remember it being along Interstate 494, drove by it hundreds of times when trucking grain to Mpls, & St. Paul. One other reason that I remember it so much was that I believe that was where the Mn. Vikings & Fran Tarkenton had their press conference when he told us he was able to play one more year after his injury to his leg the previous season. Was big fan of Fran's & Vikings back then. thanks.

Sucks that some of them are gone, especially that one which was recently torn down and only showed up on the street view. We have a building down town similar to that Holiday Inn, I think it was transformed into condos or something.

I won't be a hater.... But this is hard to watch with the constant moving of your pictures.

Yes, the filming I did back then left something to be desired.
