Glad to see you are still keeping positive Rog, as we get older it takes us longer to heal unfortunately. It does amaze me how crucial physiotherapy is to our recuperation. I had a pretty bad dislocated shoulder some years ago and after an operation and 12 weeks in a sling, my arm was useless. The physio did the trick after another 12 weeks. I bet your getting frustrated not being able to ride but hopefully, you will be on the bike in 2025 season. All the best John😊👍🏍

Thanks very much John. Yes, recovery is slower for us oldies, but, as you've found, physio really helps and the team I'm under are great. I'm just being very pacient and hopefully be back on the bikes sometime next year. Cheers Rog

Thanks for the tip Jim. I'm on extra calcium and vitamin D but not heard mention of magnesium so will look into that, I'll take all the help I can get. You should build the car, very therapeutic. It's amazing what precision they can get with laser cut wood. Cheers Rog

Hi Rog. Yet another setback... but very impressive how you seem to be coping. Thanks for the update. The psychological effects of such a setback in my life would cause me to gain weight at a very fast rate, which does not seem to be the the same in your case. But you have a rock of a woman covering your back. Greets to her. Led. Zep, AC/DC,, The Who and Black Country Communion, all groups that I love, but you've surprised me by choosing these as background music for an Op. ! Happy 60s pop would have been my choice. The fine finger work and patience you have to make those models is very impressive. Loving the results. Here's hoping the next leg update is more positive, till then, take care, S.

Thanks Steve, Chris says "Hi" back. Luckily, the only extra weight I've put on is the titanium and stainless round my leg 😂😂😂. Probably not everyone's first choice of background music in that circumstance, but everyone there was so upbeat , I thought it fitted. Having said that we did get eight minutes of 'Stairway to Heaven', my all time favourite song, that slowed the tempo down a little. Cheers Rog

@@old-n-Goldie There's a "Stairway to Heaven" and elsewhere a "Highway to Hell" so that seems to say something about us humans, and the amount of projected traffic..., the stairway for the few, and the highway for the masses! My all time favourite song is Golden Earring's The Vanilla Queen with it's varying tempos and the memories of floating between reality and wherever it was that those "substances" took you to, back in the days of the past..., but shush, don't tell anybody that!

Good point Steve, maybe that's why I always preferred Led Zep to AC DC 😂. There's a few songs that take me back to the late 60s, early 70s when going on a trip didn't mean getting on a bus.

that is not so nice to hear that your bones are not healing well. Eat and drink a lot of dairy products, they contain calcium which is good for the bones.
