Suggestions: 1) get a chainsaw you can handle comfortably, 2) get a gas powered chipper that you and grind up limbs 3-4” in diameter, it will amaze you how much less space the tree limbs take up when turned to wood chips. 3) use the wood chips on pathways, mulching gardens, making a compost pile for adding to your soil, and a thick layer over areas you want to stop the weeds and grass from growing.

You can go solar lights outside the porch ,and maybe solar panels and battery .Love your videos and your will to work hard on your land I wish I was visiting there,it looks beautiful. If you can't afford a chain saw a machete does pretty good.Maybe you should start planting fast veggies, cause fruit trees take a long time to grow to give fruit How much was the property? If it's not too bad a question.

Congratulations on the composting toilet! I recently discovered that urine is a FANTASTIC fertilizer when diluted with water...LOL, I've been watering all my potted flowers and ferns with pee diluted in water (I use a ratio of 1:6 roughly), and they've never looked better. Its right up there with fish emulsion - maybe even better. Seeing the convenient jug for collecting liquids made me think of it again...I LOVE your channel, you are such a multi-talented woman it seems there is nothing you can't do with grace and skill.

Im really glad i found your channel. I have bought a small property in Portugal as well and will be faced with similar tasks as well so I've definitely subbed to your channel. What i would really like to learn from you and others in the same situation, is the networking, places where you buy your plants, where you source your building materials etc. Another thing I'd like to learn is where one can source recycled building materials like windows. Another thing for you to consider is the introduction of beehives, is this something you would consider? Anyway, keep up the amazing work, i look forward to the next video

Well done on everything so far - not easy cutting those Olive branches with a bow saw either. Leave a little room on your cut from the main trunk or branches though, to avoid ‘dieback’ and reduce the chance of infection or disease. You can always go back and remove the dead nub after. Also, love your little Opel Corsa!

Great to see your project. Just wondeirng where this is? I had friends that were doing something very similar, with very similar land in Benfeita, Coimbra District where there was quite a big community of people doing similar things. Their land looked similar to yours with abondoned buildings, terraces and a river at the bottom. I stayed with them a number of years ago, then shortly afterwards pretty much the whole village burned down in a forest fire. They rebuilt but later moved back to the UK to bring up their children.
