I'd take the PO all day. I like the older Seamaster with aluminum bezel insert, and less overdone dial.

I’m wearing the same blue Seamaster and it’s one of my favorite timepieces. Feels very comfortable and sits perfectly flush on my wrist.

Good comparison. I've had the 2201.50 twice (same exact watch that I had sold and rebought three years later) with the 2500D movement - regret selling it both times. Also had the orange bezel insert variant with the 2500C movement. The Planet Oceans today are just massive and don't have the same charm.

Exactly the same for me! Sold the 2201.50, instantly regretted it so bought it again a year later. It’s just perfect for me.

The current movements in the older Omega watches, that would be great. But since I can't have it all I am glad with the pre ceramic SMP and the two first gen Planet Oceans I have.

Had the omega PO 2500 c but when the Rolex 116600 came up just had to buy it, but in saying that the older POs just rock, very underrated

Planet ocean all the way but when people think of Omega, they think of the 300 no doubt. This world knows 2 watches, the submariner and the 300m. Is it just me, or does the PO give off milsub vibes?
