Old school indeed. Kids these days focus so much on doing a million hard tricks, and for me, that gets old after a bit. I prefer to dance around and make beautiful circle and flower patterns when I spin. There's a beauty in the simplicity of the dance. Thank you for being one of my biggest inspirations through the years, Nick. You and Burning Dan are my flow heroes.

Man i miss the days with the homies spinning fire like this. Nick, you're the man, and i miss your face! I hope youre doing well these days, and still out there flowing and jaming and dancing. You taught me a lot. Not just poi, but about myself and how i want to bring joy into the world, as you did for me ❤

I'm afraid of people burning themselves when taking a cake out the oven, or lighting candles, but I don't feel that way with poi dancers. The amount of control and sway they have puts me completely at ease lol I love it
@taylorsmith25562 жыл бұрын
Probably because people don't usually practice taking cakes out of the oven or lighting a candle for 1000s of hrs lol

Uhhh i love this vid! Been Training for 3 weeks with playpoi Videos- Your teaching style totally clicks with me - 3 beat weaving while moving, turning and dancing is such an amazing feeling. So thank you for all your effort you put in explaining and teaching :) Oh yeah, the Music is also very nice :D

One of the things I grew to respect in poi is total flow control. This is an excellent example. A lot of folks, myself included, get into this thinking MAN I WANNA GO FAST AND SUPER CRAZY WITH IT. Years in, I realized that matching a music slower beat is FAR FAR more challenging. This dude's got it down pat. That's way more impressive than doing 3 beats and pinwheels at a million miles an hour.

How to make fire poi?
@playpoivideos4 жыл бұрын
I haven;'t made them for ages. I buy them from the shops. There may be good tutorials, but I can't recommend any in particular. Just be careful, it's real fire and badly made gear can cause serious accidents.
