Fun fact! All Hallow's Eve was printed as an enchantment in Italian Legends, and for a brief period I believe was actually errataed to be one. It's very likely that printing it at a sorcery in English was actually a mistake and that it was always intended to be an enchantment. (Legends kind of had an enchantment theme, too.) They went with the English printing as the "true" wording, and it ended up inspiring Suspend.

Ernham is great, but it does give an opposing creature Forestwalk each upkeep, which can be relevant in a stand-off situation.

Btw, the 2 bolt on triskelion was played strangely. If the triskelion player react to the second one, triskelion is 4/1 so he can just use a ping before dying, not 3. So basiclly when lightning bolt is cast, triskelion player can react by removing 1 to 3 counters on the first lightning and in this case, ernham player save a bolt.

It's a lot of fun! I should have a Halloween video up before the end of October with this deck. There are groups that play webcam old school with proxies if you ever want to try it out. Vancouver Grizzy Bears are active on discord, for example.

Yes, you have to pay upkeep as you are still in the upkeep phase. It’s a bit of an artificial step, but needs to be paid none the less.

No you dont play upkeep. You play upkeep of a permanent if the permanent Was hère the previous phase so untap phase

Animate dead is an Enchantment... not sure why it's going to GY?

Yes this is just me playing it poorly. I was enchanting the creature and putting the Animate Dead in the graveyard to to "get it out of the way" so to speak. Next time I will leave it on the board - thank you!
