This brings back a lot of memories. I got rid of my RC Modeler, Model Airplane News and RC Report magazines after getting tired of moving them. I regret it now and would love to look back at all of the old advertisements.

My eyes lit up when you started flipping through the magazines. I would say vote yes on this series! I still have a few Rc Modeler magazines, and I enjoy comparing prices of the balsa kits that once were!

I used to look forward every month to a new RCM magazine and Model Airplane News. Have a fair number of them I kept. Used to like the engine and kit reviews and Clarence Lee’s engine clinic.

That is very neat, I love the Fox ad you flashed with the 59 Longshaft. I bought an issue of flying models from May of 67. It was an old Magizine of my Uncles he gave me & the model plans really inspired me growing up. On the cover is the Pirate 3 with twin rudders on the ends of the elevator & the other 2 plans are the Seahorse, a float plane with the fusalage cabin over the wing & twin tails disconnected from it but extending off the float pontoons instead & the elevator spanning the 2. And of course My Excalibur.😁 One other one is a launching glider with a fold out propeller named Michelle, but im not very enamered with it. Chocked full of ads & imagination & before the world was at your fingertips with a click of a button... You may find a better deal overall buying a magizine collection auction lot if you can find one, but I also totally get focusing on select issues that are particularly relevant to you...Whatever you decide, it's all good and awesome as always.✌👍

Yes yes yes love the old mags😊 without a doubt did the same thing....SHOPPED & salivated over the cool stuff I couldn't have. After I bought my Twr 4 I shopped & compared then got an economy MRC but the bad design had the on/off switch below the aileron trim and yup hit that switch during a trim and boom it was over. I too had to gv up my collection when I moved to Fla but I did cut out many articles that were of importance.

I enjoyed the video and have even done the same as you. I have five old RC Modeler magazines I got off eBay too for the nostalgia and interest in the Construction articles as I love building from plans. Please go ahead and do more.

I subscribed to RCM from 1966 until it went out of publication, The magazine had great columnist like Dick Phillps, Chuck Cunningham, Lee, for what it's worth, giant scale, like you I threw them away after carrying them around all over the world. My first radio system was heath kit. Kraft. Expert and finally the Futaba G 7 channel.

I am glad that I have the dozen or so that I have saved. Clarence Lee engine columns are a source of information.

Cool... I had heard of RC Modeler but don't think I ever had any magazines. I seemed to always have the AMA Model Aviation. Interesting story... I did the digital only version of the AMA's magazine for a year. Ended up switching back to the magazine b/c I missed having the physical copy.

I still have my ACOMS 4 channel radio, from 83-84 and it works. Have a SANWA FM 6 module (Airtonics in USA) that no longer work from about 86-87. I will try to see what is wrong with it some days. Was using for RC flight simulator at the end. .

futaba electronics and the precision with what they would control your plane maybe the number one reason why they were so expensive. People flying an expensive plane may just go for futaba.

Well if you ever need some easy money, sell them on eBay. I used to keep all of the Tower Hobbies main catalogs also. Got rid of them. Now those sell for $40+ each!
