One of the best walk behind mowers ever made my dad had one when I was a kid my dad loves them he has today a rider and a walk behind. My grandmother had that exact model my dad got the whole family into snappers both grandparents aunts uncle neighbor’s everyone.

I went to Lowe's and most of their self propelled were half plastic. 90% of their self propelled were battery mowers. I love this mower.

I just got a 1999 Hi-Vac 21" in decent condition. All the controls and stuff look like yours, so they haven't changed much except colors and more modern engines. I paid $175 for mine. They're not made anymore which is a shame.

I picked the same exact push mower up last night. But it seems to be all original. Because it matches the one you have exactly. Just have some carb issues. The butterfly won't open or closed in the carb

I have bought several carburetors on Amazon for $13 and $15. Buy a new carburetor on eBay or Amazon.

I got it running it was sitting for a good while and a joke was just being stubborn that butterfly. I just moved a little bit of grass with it and it runs great except for I need to find out where the adjustment is to slow the self-propelled down because as soon as you started up it takes off by itself. LOL so I definitely need to find the adjustment. LOL

NO,Snapper closed years ago and then it was Briggs and Stratton ,several of my former coworkers worked for Snapper one of them was at my job before I got there so he has been there for 30 years now,my brother in law worked as a temp at Briggs and Stratton and thought he would get hired full time,but they went out of buisness,now it is something else,not sure,it said what is was going to be on Facebook one time,I pass buy it when I go to Food Depot or go get a hair cut,did you live in one of the houses close to the plant?I hope surgery does good,They should have made a part 2 movie of Christine.

In 2002 Snapper was acquired by Simplicity Manufacturing, which was then acquired by Briggs & Stratton in 2004. Since then the Snapper brand name has been added to products such as weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, among others.
