I have 40 eggs in an incubator at the moment and I selected only rounded eggs. I have a range of different chooks also. I’ll get back to you in 21 days

So the results are in and this experiment was a success. All the eggs incubated where rounded on top and came out as female

You're welcome and thank you for watching. Have you heard of the wing methond once they have hatched you can tell by the feathers on the young chicks wings. I have not done a video on it. But it does seem to work pretty good too. Can't remember the name of the channel but I found it on KZbin.

We don't have chickens yet because our neighbor up the road has wonderful eggs and sells them to us at a VERY reasonable price. This is something to file away in the back of my mind in case we do get chickens, and we might because it's so expensive to buy organic ones at the store.

I am waiting on last egg to hatch but I put in 10 rounded eggs and got 2 Roos and 7 pullets. I know because they are Black Stars and an auto-sexing breed.

i have heard that it does not work but i had 2 eggs hatch and one was more rounded the other more pointed and got 1 of each also the rounder one was the female

I am curious whether being fertilized makes a difference in the way makes and females shape the egg, or if it is chance. I'm curious because I want to hatch eggs, but don't want to kill my males. I am interested in knowing what works, and it sounds like a lot of people have success with this method.

How interesting? I've been enjoying the feed back and seeing how many are accurate and how many are not. Seems it's tilted towards being about 95%. Did you want a rooster?

Found some people from church and work that gave them a home and were very happy with them. Hope you can find some good people too. What type is he if you know?

I just watched a different video that says all your pointy eggs are from the same chicken, that would mean some hens only produce one sex. But what do u have to loose if u get plenty of eggs try the round ones I think I will at least once

We get both so 🤷‍♀💁‍♀pointy and round from the same chickens and the rounds have been hens the pointy Roosters it's the inbetweens that were ify. It's wortha try. Hope it works as well for you.

My GSLs as far as I can remember have NEVER laid pointing eggs, My alpha female Austrolorp almost singularly lays pointy eggs. If there is any validity to the "Pointy eggs hatch Roosters" claim I suspect it is breed specific.

I heard this info and tried it in my first ever incubation.. I placed all rounded eggs in the bator.. right now the babies are 1 week and if sexing by wings is accurate I have one Cockrell and 14 pullets.. guess we will find out in a few more weeks lol

Well I did get mostly Pullets but there were more Cockrell then I thought however I am not sure on some because I sold most of them.. I know of two Cockrell for sure
