Have you tried something to block the noise? Most people find help from playing music through noise-blocking headphones. I do understand if that doesn't help, considering there's usually a physical feeling that comes along with them.

@@Nakia11798 People use ones that are supposed to be illegal so close to the house that it rattles :( I'm usually able to hear them over anything I try to use to block it out too It doesn't help that I'm autistic on top of the PTSD, so sometimes even what I'm trying to use to block it out can overwhelm me sensory wise

I probably don't have PTSD yet fireworks and lightning storms still make me shake uncontrollably :') I hate seeming like a baby, but sometimes noises get so loud I curl up and shut down

Loud noises in general have always been bad triggers for me, and my god fireworks are some of the worst. But because I have pets that are also scared of them, I put their needs first which can kinda help me get through it.

Well then you gotta start taking steps towards self love. Genuinely, from what I've heard, it's easiest to start with denying the negative things you think about yourself, for example, "I'm not a terrible person," or, "I'm not ugly." Over time you get to the mediums, and eventually the outright positives, like, "I'm beautiful! I'm a good person!" I've also heard that it helps to highlight things that you know you're good at and things you already like about yourself, no matter how big or small, in my case, my eyebrows are a very nice shape! My hair naturally lays in a way that I like, and I have a gift for improving my art very quickly. Maybe the color of your eyes is a color you like, I know I think all eye colors look cool! Maybe you're especially good at finding Waldo, heaven knows I almost never find him in those cluttered pages, or you're really strong at Minecraft parkour! If you can, I would also recommend seeking professional help, having a therapist to talk to, even about the little things, can really help a lot of people. It's not for everyone, but if you get a good one, they'll probably be able to find something that you like about yourself. I mean, mine helped me realize my favorite meals and my overall special interest just from our conversations and how I acted. And whatever others think, I think you're all beautiful.

Can confirm, housework does strengthen you up quite a bit. I've somehow maintained some of my arm muscles just by doing laundry! (Well, my washing machine and dryer are both in the basement and my room is on the second floor lol.) Still no reason to be sexist tho 😶

Jokes today might be offensive 20 or 1000 years from now. We may never know (especially if we don't take care of our planet). I will agree it's sarcastic to a point, but still sexist. It's like a scale. Like I'm sure there were worse sarcastic sexist jokes before that PSA was made. It really depends on what's acceptable to joke about at the time. Just because it was ok then doesn't mean it wasn't still called sexist. Society now just understands it more, doesn't put up with it, and doesn't find it funny (usually, standup is pretty free with it's jokes).
