Worked out better for the consumer. Two very different ranges of luxury cars instead of a single stable with two marques.

At that point the Rolls Royce just looked like a car. Whatever changes were made, they were overdue and resulted in the Phantom, which was once again a truly majestic Rolls Royce.

Rolls Royce is now seen as a much higher quality car manufacturer than Bentley
@stephans19903 жыл бұрын
I would say similar. One might even say Bentley is in the lead, with BMW having lost it's shine (especially in the United States), but Volkswagen is also starting to loose it's reputation for quality in Europe.

RIP ROLLS-ROYCE 1904-1998. To be perfectly honest, I have owned many Rolls-Royce automobiles, and I can say, they are total pieces of junk, but not half as bad as the German knockoffs! Not only are they cheaply made, but they are not real Rolls-Royces. The parts almost all came from Germany, and the engine is a BMW. At least the genuine RR’s for the most part will enjoy appreciate throughout the year’s, as the BMW version is deprecating so fast to the point, it won’t be worth the massive expense to keep it going. Basically it’s a disposable car at best that will soon find its new home very soon, in a junkyard.

Rolls Royce made in Germany and shipped over to England for final assembly. 🙄
@EEnnisjr3 жыл бұрын
Actually this rolling junk was built in England almost entirely of German parts to include a BMW engine that reads Rolls-Royce, which is fraud. Even the Seraph had a BMW underpowered engine. At least it had no engine manufacturer name on it. It just said Silver Seraph. That is also fraudulent as there is no engine manufacturer named Silver Seraph. I am surprised all of the people that purchased these cars doesn’t file a Class Action Lawsuit for FRAUD from 1998 to 2022. They would win!!
