I just picked up my big water 132 yesterday. I love it. I can't believe how fast these are. They're also built really well, and they have lots of room for equipment. I was looking into Hobie, but I don't like the flipper drives.. Flippers are for fish not kayaks.😅
@Hook2Cook3 жыл бұрын
yes, it's really fast for its weight and size. the hull cuts through water. even putting the drive up and paddling, it punches through surf and tracks really well.. stay tuned. releasing a video of taking it into the ocean and landing thresher sharks. it maneuvered extremely well to keep up the the fast agile sharks.

Hello sir congratulation to you on your new Kayak. That big water boy is nice. That was nice that old town did that for you. I am thinking about upgrading to one of these kayaks. I do have a question? You mentioned that the pedals have a soft grippy pad on them but on the pedals but are the pedals pretty wide. I have a very very extremely wide foot with very fat wide toe that are equally straight across making my foot 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my little toe. I wondered would the pedals be wide enough for my foot. The pedals look like they would be comfortable to pedal Barefooted 👣 because that's how I had to kayak is barefooted 👣 because they do not make a shoe , sock , or boot that's wide enough for my foot. I also like your flip-flops you were wearing in the video. Flip flops is the only Footwear that barely and I mean barely will fit on my foot because my toes are wider than the flip flop straps. I grew up wearing flip-flops or being barefooted 👣 as a kid because of my toes being so fat and wide but I never thought my foot would without growing tennis shoes & I would had to live my life as a barefooted person because of my toes being extremely fat and wide and straight across. Good video sir appreciate if you could let me know about those foot pedals and thank you for sharing.
@Hook2Cook3 жыл бұрын
i dont see any issues with width but I have also seen people replace them with more bicycle style pedals.
@mackjenkins77213 жыл бұрын
@@Hook2Cook oh you can replace them with the bicycle pedals. I do have some special made bike pedals that I had made for my bike so I could take my kids bike riding. It really sucks having a very extremely wide foot with fat wide toes because it causes so many problem that I have to go through. Thank you I appreciate that.

Old Town picked a good spokes person to review their product. Congrats on your aquisition of the kayak. Hope to see some fishing from it soon. The hull is slick and will troll fairly easily at 1.5 - 2 mph all day in relative comfort. Veronica is correct get a friend who has one to go out with anything you sit on can flip in the right circumstances. Follow coast guard guidelines for safety. Good review keep them coming

What is the difference between this and the predator pdl?
@Hook2Cook3 жыл бұрын
It’s basically the predator PDL rebranded as the sportsman lineup. A few minor changes like the seat and the rod tip guards on the predator and not on the Bigwater & new colors but the hull is about the same.
@zlacc3 жыл бұрын
@@Hook2Cook Which one has the better seat? And which rod tip guards?
@Hook2Cook3 жыл бұрын
The really early models used to have these tabs built in up at the bow to secure the tips of your rods when you’re laying them down. Not sure what year, but every year they had minor changes. There’s no solid guide but if you’re comparing the last model of predator, the main differences are colors and seat material

Sorry, but all i could think of now is if your recycling company allows to dump polystyrene in a recycling bin? If label on top says "DO NOT", please consider researching local companies that do buy-back or accept donations. It is free for you and great for the environment, especially ocean. Most big companies do not recycle Polystyrene and Styrofoam and it often ends up in a garbage field or an ocean. There are however plenty of smaller companies that either recycle or simply give polystyrene a second life. Just a thought for consideration.
