I think it was a 2018, sold it after filming this video so I'm not 100% sure, but pretty sure it was 2018

Do you note any differences in stability/stand casting?

Nope. They are the same kayak, just a few changes in the transducer mount area as far as the hull goes and you can't really feel any difference there.

Better metal rudder on predator, locking hatch was better too, (no lure snagging) but 2020 predator also got it switched to bungee. Locking steering on the 2020 predators, and BW but not on the older predator, not sure if makes much of a difference in practice. The PDL drive on the 2020 predator, and BW is better than the older round hatch on the original predator, which lets water in. I guess the forward rod holder on the BW132 is an improvement. I think the transducer difference is hit and miss, depending on your model. Hull wise both are identical in speed/stability/weight. Both superb boats. I would like to see OT make stabilisers and cleaver/strong attachment points, for a heavy duty sea fishing stability option.

The predator didnt need the locking steering knob since it has a bolt that you can tighten. Getting rid of the pin and adding a rudder bolt is probably first and best thing to do in a new PDL

Trying to decide on a used 2019 predator (with yakattack rod holders, 4cv fish finder, and battery) for $1700 vs a new big water for $2500. Would be nice to have new and warranty, but hard to say if it’s worth ~ $1k. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Mine is used but I also got a good deal on it. Their warranty service is outstanding though, lots of people online getting any issues taken care of with no problems. I guess it depends on your risk tolerance.

Not sure why everyone states the front hatch can be opened with one hand on the big water. You can open the locking hatch with one hand also….. apples to apples, I’d rather have the locking hatch all things being equal

Less chance of snagging a lure on there too. Luckily I havent snagged a hook on the bungee yet...

I doubt you'll find much difference between the two. They are both plenty fast.
