Looks amazing and equipped well and truly with quality basics you need, I reckon the fridge size is perfect, Yiu can never have enough fridge space for coldies. AND you're spot on, if you've got a ute you wanna use it as a ute which is why opted for slide on. Mines a bit more friendly to the old knees than yours though. I've been saying it for years! I don't know why the hell people insist on having steel trays for camping use! It's a waste of weight. You don't need the extra strength of steel if you use heavy duty alloy. Very smartly set up Danie, well done. I also have a full sized alloy canopy on my 79 dual cab and i haven't even needed to upgrade my suspension. Love the roof top tent!

I need advice!!! I have a 2400 tray, 1000mm canopy permenantky there for work and a jack off canopy that’s 1200 long with a ladder rack to put a rooftop tent on. Having the tent in the 1200 tray at the back hanging off the end about 10% and over the front about 35%. When jacking off, does the canopy and tent feel tippy? If that makes sense.

Great set up. We are looking at getting a dog box with a canopy. In sunshine coast qld. Looking for ways to AC the dog box? Anyone know anything about this? Cheers, Josh
@DanieSimpson2 жыл бұрын
most ac units have the condenser and pipes on top of the vehicle for Max airflow but not a very ideal look. or I've seen people extend their vehicles aircon unit via pipes but this will diminish the effectiveness of the Ac system. my dog box is completely insulated and I live in one of the most humid places, usually around 10°C cooler in the box and whilst driving the doors are angled to allow air to be drawn into the box

What’s the weight distribution like front to rear? The rear canopy is a lot heavier than the dog box. Could you swap the boxes around so the heavier canopy is at the front? Could you run just the rear canopy up against the headboard with out the dog box? Well worth getting “old boy”:on some corner scales to see where the weight is. But loving the look looks a real quality job by Dynamic
@DanieSimpson4 жыл бұрын
Very close to even. 1.25 front and 1.60 rear. Rear is balanced left to right. And no plans to move the order of the boxes, only need the dog box on for daily stuff
@West4ea4 жыл бұрын
Danie Simpson good to know you’ve checked the weights. Not too bad I thought it would be worse to be honest it’s amazing how many people build trucks with no regard to weight distribution
@DanieSimpson4 жыл бұрын
@@West4ea oh blows my mind too and people thinking that the distribution is the same in all utes. I could run a tonne of weight at the back of my tray for decades and probably never have an issue where the newer utes bend at thr first sign of misplaced weight
@West4ea4 жыл бұрын
Danie Simpson the classic example is the double cab with a big canopy and then only 2 people and empty rear seats
