In this episode we take 2 Aprilia's out for a race. One being a 2001 that has just been rebuilt and the other a 2007 stock. Both bikes running different engines with a 2bhp difference between them. Helmet Head the all known World Champion riding the 2007 and the Rookie (Sidekick) on the 2001. Only one man can win!

I owned both (a strada for the modern version though)... the newer one with the yamaha engine felt heaps faster to me. But yeah... less comfort.

I know it’s been a long journey to get it to this stage, but it’s proved worth all your effort mate. 👍 You’ve had some great times on the original Peggy and it does have that tried and tested Dakar proved bulletproof 660 Yamaha engine. I believe the Pegaso uses a Minarelli engine that Yamaha also uses, not a Yamaha engine. I bought a pretty good shape Strada Factory for 2k. Sweeeet bike!

New one might be faster but the older one with upside down front fork handles better . Its strange the new one won as they have the same power and weight, maybe its due to the condition of older one or difference in driver's skill.

La mia Pegaso cube 650 brucia la 660...nel video si vede chiaramente che il tachimetro della 650 non sale di velocità questo vuol dire solo una cosa: non sta gareggiando. La 650 in quel tratto di strada arriverebbe ben oltre i 150 km/h

I had older pegaso as daily commuter for five years and i dont know about the new but old one was really really tough bike once maintained properly. New one might be faster but the older one with upside down front fork handles better.
