​@@heaven3953... their ID cars are supposedly riddled with faults, and VW which had even talked about killing off the Golf (so that the ID3 could succeed it) are now having serious reservations about doing so. This means that the current (Gen 8) Golf may turn out to not be the last generation of Golf afterall - Hooray. It's just too iconic to kill off. The ID3 is just a computer on wheels. The Golf is a living entity, that has earned its reputation over five decades. The Golf is a legend. Long may it continue. Speaking of Ads - they really don't make ads like this either. It's a classic....from the cinematography to the universal humour.....to the very idea of making a car commercial from a woman's squeaky earring. It's genius. Wish we still had ads this good.

I had a leaf stuck in the hood of my Tiguan and couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from....drove me crazy for half a hour.....this add is spot on.

great ad! i had similar experience in my brand new VW virtus last month. flappy noise from front wheel when i move out from parking. took to VW service centre and they found and removed a paper stuck in the brake drum! note the car is silent as ever!

I know you are american. 😂 Let me tell you one thing. Eu and us model cars have the same name, body style, suspension. But quality is day and night. Same with a honda. I have one made in japan, and other assembled in USA. The usa one, sucks big time. And both of them are now 30 years old. 😂

Bought my 21 years old vw with 200.000 km. It haves now 249.350km. So far it only needed some oil change... No noises, no nothing to do. Its engine its a little bit of tired, with his stock 65hp... Maybe some horses went out of the herd. But my little guy smells the gasoline, see the key and its ready to go. Also quite cheap... I do about 12km with only 1 litter gasoline. 😂

The only thing that goes wrong with Mk2's is the fuel pump relay, because either some idiot wired in an immobiliser OR leaves blocked the windscreen gutters (due to poor maintenance) and allowed water to get into the fuse box. Apart from that, bomb proof. The advert is accurate.
