Hat's off to you Scott. That's a huge job, with big stress etc. Credit to you and your mates for keeping the concrete moving and camera rolling 👏🏼

Didn't film me levelling the concrete off....that was pure panic stations (could feel the concrete getting harder, minute by minute). 😉Cheers!

I'm convinced modern structural engineers either have lost their bottle and over engineer to be super safe...or get a cut from the building suppliers ? Fantastic work guys

"♪ ♫ You dig 16 tons and what do get? ♫♪" Great job, Scott! I'm always entertained by your videos and I always learn something from them. One of the key things I learned today is "don't bet against Scott." Cheers!

Great job lads and to think you could’ve used B112 mesh which is 12mm bars at 200c x 100c,cheaper and quicker than using lose rebar
@CobwebGarage6 ай бұрын
I guess so, but the structural engineers' design, and the plan for the vertical rebar, was to install it in 1 meter sections (ie, dig out a meter section at time, install rebar, and concrete it back in), to avoid any danger of the walls collapsing. I did start doing it like that (you can see in the video I did 3 sections like that). This would've meant cutting the mesh into 1 meter sections to install, and then it wouldn't have had continuous lateral rebars (as the structural engineers' design). Cheers.
