Great to see an almost standard vehicle. I'm a great fan of period correct vehicles. The rims are fairly correct too. The spotties and where you have them also work, although being led is flash. Reuben your car is a real credit to you. Just one thing, don't spoil it. All the best mate

Awesome bit of kit, keep it basic a lot less to go wrong then, however I think you should change out the old suspension and replace with up to date stuff. May be a rear locker for the trickier stuff but nothing else just leave it...

Cheers Gordon. Yeah i think I will do something with the suspension. It would benefit from it that is for sure.

DMW Ruben I've heard you can squeeze a 79 series V8 in those. I remember you used to work with my Dad Barry in Toowoomba in the early 90's for Rick. You want a FNQ sales rep? I keep buying the company t-shirts cos you tight asses won't supply me with a company vehicle. hahahah

Hey Ruben I have a yellow BJ42 as well and im about to put 4 lights on the roof also. I'm just worried about them drawing too much juice. The stock alternator is only rated at 40 amp so once 4 spotties, plus normal headlights, radio and interior bulbs are all on I rekon ill be drawing more power than what I'm putting in. Have you had any dramas running them?? Im dual battery also and I rekon ill be right but I'd be interested to hear from someone else who has gone down this path. Thanks mate!

So is the old girl considered a 40 series, a 42 series or would both be correct? I've never understood how that works. Similarly, can the 76 series and/or 79 series be called a 70 series? Or are the 70 series and 40 series their own cars or...
