With much respect to my Indian friends but the concept of university derived from Academy which is a Greek construct and invention. For clarification, this list is only based on archaeological findings until now… Indian civilisation maybe much older than described here and according to the hindu scripts, it is over 200,000 years old. But since no archaeological evidence is found from that period yet, we cannot say it is completely true. For now humans have managed to find no other civilization older than Egypt and recent research says Mesopotamia is older, but we may find out in the coming years when technology has developed considerably.

Lemme explain why India is the oldest known civilization, Unlike others Indians like to give evidences with their dates. These evidences include astronomical observations like constellations, position of moon, etc. Indian sages were great mathematicians and they even calculated distance between sun and moon in terms of sun's diameter. They even calculated radius of other planets, yes radius of planets (in the book surya-siddhanta). As every date is followed by astronomical observations of the same, some of the dates found today are as old as 8000 BC. Rigveda mentions of Saraswati river, which was furious, powerful, and always caused floods. Today science have found out that Saraswati river began to dry up around 6000 BC. Rigveda's description shows the time when Saraswati river was not drying up. So it should be atleast, atleast 6000 years old. In short, indian civilization is the cradle of global civilizations.

India is an amazing country. Everything from big brained people to the best soldiers in the world. But isn't India much older than you stated. I've heard good arguments for them being older than 40,000 years! The Australian Aboriginals might be up to 80,000+ years old. I'm not sure how long the Ouachita Moorish have been around but the UN recognizes them as the oldest continuous nation in the world (the real African American). And they're located right here in America, Arkansas! The bottom line, who knows who the oldest in the world are. We get so much disinformation from big bro!

Dude, those were not the ancestors of modern Iraqi Arabs😳😳😳. Those were Sumerians, Accadians, idk, Assyrians. The prehistoric civilizations that existed on the territory of modern Iraq were NOT Arabs, they just happened to live on the same territory.
