No the oldest Greek footbal clubs are Panionios Smyrna founded in 1890 by the Greeks of Smyrna (now Izmir, Turkey) and Apollon Smyrna founded in 1891, again by the Greeks of Smyrna. Smyrna was predominantly a Greek & Armenian city back then. The first Armenian FC is Knar, founded in 1908 by the Armenians of Smyrna. While Messeniakos is indeed one of the oldest Greek gymnastics clubs, its football department was founded in 1909, one year after the founding of the oldest FC in the Greek mainland, Panathinaikos (1908).

Judging by the comments below, it's maybe not 100% accurate. Nevertheless, it's interesting how a lot of the clubs are older than their respective countries. I guess Europe has seen a lot of War and border changes in the last 150 years. Anyway I've been a Chelsea fan since the 70s, way before they became trendy and popular. So there!
