Looks really good , tip for when using Guinness/ stout reduce by at least half then add your sugar or preferably honey before adding to your dish , you can add more stock if you need it to top up , honestly it’s way better . Nice winter warming dish you’ve done for you all 👍👍

It's a Guinness steak and mash pie combination, like as you said and what I thought as well as you cottage pie with crust all in one meal no need for veg on the side it can be all in it. I mean, you could have just served up the stew with the mash and not bothered to cook it all again, kind of wasting money cooking further.
