Agreed. I remember when he expanded ISPAT to the little island of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. It was a start in the right directions. But Unions in that country are terrible. They literally lose a lot of investment from foreign companies because of their Unions that demand more and more and more...till firms just pay off staff and leave...fools. There was once a car assembly...Nissan....Unileaver....Console (Matalan brothers)....They all smiled, paid em ofv and left..FOOLS without jobs in the long run

Just like they lost the bid for the BP rig, that eventually went to Mexico. Sorry, always remember i economic professor talking about the union environment and how the gov't created 'monsters'. One of the past IMF reports outlined the poor work ethic mainly surrounding gov't workers. Amd will continue till you all have nothing.

After comming to Trinidad with not even money to lease the Iscott complex initially ,the workers there continued to perform and mittal grew and became large in the steel industry but in March of 2016 shut the plant down terminated all employees some with as much as 35years of service without any compensation for those years service Big Bandit

​@@iisomeoneii2091 you don't have any idea about India , don't judge book by it's cover , yes we have poor people but not like you thought , corruption is the main issue here and there are millions of people in India who are rich but on paper they showed themselves as a super poor , because of taxes and others , don't go on paper or report . I know hundreds of people personally who are very rich but on paper they are poor , and take benefits of poor people from government , In my area there is a tea shop a little roadside shop he sells 3000-4000 cups ( kullhad ) per day every cup 15 rupees , if he earns 4 rupee profit per cup ( minimum ) then it's 12 k to 16 k rupee per day which is very good income in India but on paper he's still poor and he wears old dirty clothes too , there are millions of people like him .

The marwadi are known for trading world 🌎 same as gujaratis, eg ambanis and adnai, run business is not easy, if don't move with times then you get left behind, so look at the achievements and think if they didn't buy those business they would have been bankrupt, lot's of good work gone into building the steel business, yes some accidents have taken place, but Kazakhstan accidents was because of the plants was built by the people Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 and didn't have enough time to mordenise the safety aliment of steel plants in Kazakhstan, over British should be proud of clever businessman from India 🇮🇳 are running the business globally and crediting British and Indian names.
