I love rich, creamed chicken dishes. Chicken Ala King was one of my birthday luncheon favorites as a child. A friend's mother went to culinary school in Paris and she made a fabulous one for me.

I grew up in the 80's in Los Angeles. We used to call it a smorgasbord too😂 I always thought it was a Cali thang. We used to go to one called the King's Table and 35 years later, I still dream about it😋 Chef Jeffery inspires me and when he tastes the food, you already know its bangin'. Thank you for these shares. Pretty soon, my husband will be thanking you too...🍛🍲🍝🥧 Never enough thumbs to out up👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Yeah some toasted breadcrumb /butter topping on top of cheese before baking and garnish with some lightly dried parsley that comes in the little containers in the fresh produce section , voila !! mmm ! I use that parsley in a lot of recipes . pasta garnish , egg salad , etc. I use it in my southern blackeyed peas recipe with bacon ,onion garlic, hot sauce and 2 other secret ingredients, no restaurant can touch it, ha the absolute best ! Also adds the color along with flavor to every dish.

We always had turkey tetrazzini in early-mid December using turkey we had left from Thanksgiving and the broth from the turkey frame. It was delicious and I know the chicken is, too. I sure wish we had smell-a-vision. You’re always saying how wonderful your concoctions smell! You’re the best.

My middle school made turkey tetrazzini after Thanksgiving time when seasonal cheap turkey was available, way back in the mid 1960s. As a school lunch program, they looked for ways to extend main ingredients with low cost, so they made lots of dishes with creamy gravy/sauce and pasta or kitchen made dumplings.. It was actually really good.. as was the chicken & dumplings. As school lunches went, most meals were not very good, a few they did were horrible... but the creamy chicken & dumplings and the turkey tetrazzini were BIG hits with the kids and always popular....

Good morning, Houston said for me to tell you Chicken Alfredo is also one of his favorite foods. The boy loves liver and also broccoli. Not bad for a 13 yr. old boy. A lot of kids don't even eat vegetables. He loves most all of them. That's what he grew up on. Okra, cream peas, purple hull peas, collard greens. rutabaga turnips and much more. Have a blessed day. I worked in an Italian restaurant and the owner was an incredible cook. This was my favorite. He never put a layer of cheese on top. Wondered where you learned that? He had a creamy sauce with chicken and served on spaghetti at the table. I ate this constantly! He made his own sausage, and cannot and on and on.

I made this for dinner tonight and it taste so good! I've made it once before following another recipe, without adding mushrooms because the recipe I watched didn't add it, it was good but the sauce was too thick. I decided to add mushrooms this time because my husband loves them. Its currently in the oven right now and I tried it. I can't wait to take it out! As it is written He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, And herb for the service of man: That he may bring forth food out of the earth; And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, And oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart. Psalm 104:14-15 KJV Praise the Lord!
