beyond creation is so fucking underrated, they deserve more recognition, the musicianship is so good

i seriously think they're one of the best fucking bands of all time, especially the first two albums their musicianship and just level of understanding of their instrument and creating music is on another level especially on this song, omnipresent perception and coexistence. but you could honestly say that about any of their songs. not to mention the amazing solos
@jonstienaers54723 жыл бұрын
nice a reaction to Beyond Creation. This band doesn't get enough love from the reactor community. Do more of them, doesn't matter what song, pick one and get blown away. Lead the charge. PS. 68 likes?? come on...

Saw this live around April this year (first row! together with Cynic). The musicianship of this guys is something otherworldly! It sound even better live: no cheap tricks, no backing tracks! Hugo (bass) was beyond perfection in this song! If you haven't see them live then do it! Went there to see Cynic and ended saying: Beyond Creation rulz!

My favorite BC song is Coexistence The breakdown in that song absolutely kills on so many levels. To pull that off and not lose the audience is otherworldly. Nice reaction here. Every song is a tapestry of mind blowing musicianship

I just saw these guys for the third time this last Saturday so I'm back on another Beyond Creation and tech-death kick. But one of my favorite things about these guys is they treat the vocals as an accent to the song and not necessarily the focal point. They really let the instrumentals shine in between the sections with vocals for sure.
@Luemm3l3 жыл бұрын
they are all master musicians and all actually very short and very humble. Met the drummer Phil in person at a very small club show and asked if I could record him and he was like yeah, no problem. Their music in tech death is very special, not only because of the fretless bass but also the sound from their Kempers I think and the way use them in creating different soundscapes. Earthborn Evolution also definitely has some jazzy vibes going on at times and is just so much more... IDK, soulful than a lot of death metal, instead of a pumped up state it takes me into a relaxed state.
@Phalse133 жыл бұрын
These guys are amazing, you should also try Omnipresent Perception from them. If you haven't tried Opeth, I think you should check them out. I know tons of people will argue that you should listen to studio tracks, but I personally enjoy watching them play. I will suggest Harlequin Forest live at the Royal Albert Hall or Ghost of Perdition live at Red Rocks as a starter. Ne Obliviscaris is great too, try And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope live in Denver, or the studio track of Painters of the Tempest part 2: Triptych Lux, or heck, even the full set of Painters of the Tempest.

Wow! Great reaction! First time I heard this band and I am equally exhausted. Dear lord. Came to this channel as a Sabaton fan and this feels to me musically what Sabaton feels storytelling-wize. Awe inspiring. Thank you for addressing some of my questions during the cooking-stream btw. That was awesome. And for tying your shoe! Laughed so hard when that happened. Did not expect you to pick that one up. Would love to see you react to some of my other favourite bands, you might know of most of them though. Blind Guardian: classic German power metal, released their first album back in -88. Songs ‘Mirror Mirror’, ‘The Maiden and The Minstrel Knight’ or ’Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill)’. The Hives: Swedish garage-esque rock band formed in the nineties. Songs ‘Main Offender’, ‘Two-Timing Touch and Broken Bones’ or their duet with Cindy Lauper ‘A Christmas Duel’. Avantasia: German power metal band formed in -99. Songs ‘Twisted Mind’, ‘Farewell’ or ‘Reach out for the light’. And like so many others have suggested, I really hope you’ll react to Sabatons live performance of their song ‘En livstid i krig’ in Swedish on home soil in Gothenburg. Don’t forget to turn the subtitles on! Saw them live in that venue a few years prior during their Swedish Empire tour. Was awesome. And as a final suggestion, I think it would be cool to see you listen through the entire Carolus Rex album from start to finish as a live stream. And perhaps talking a little about that period in time along the way. For practical reasons I would recommend the English version even though, as a Swede, I prefer the Swedish version myself. Thank you for great content! Quickly becoming my favourite channel on youtube!
