Thank you for showing me exactly what needed to be done. Not intimated by a few 10mm bolts for my dust shield. The rest of it looks pretty easy. Cheers

You are the only person on the internet that has helped me. I replaced starter. I'm only getting one click no crank. Can not find starter relay I know where they are located but no diagram. Could it be my alternator?
@uglyhp82254 жыл бұрын
could just have a bad connection at the battery i would start by charging the battery and cleaning the connections

Thanks for the video. I have a 93 century with the 3300. Looks similar starter cranks and turns over engine but seemingly fuel pump doesn’t run so the car never starts. Earlier this summer I dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump so I doubt that’s it. Is it possible the fusible link on the starter solenoid is the culprit for not getting the fuel pump to come on when cranking? This all happened during a rainstorm drive.
@uglyhp82253 жыл бұрын
have you checked to see if the starter is getting power and ground directly thats where i would start
@smallgreentreefrog3 жыл бұрын
@@uglyhp8225 starter turns over engine fine so it’s clearly getting power. Before it died for good it sputtered and ran poorly for half an hour or so but occasionally ran fine sustained highway speeds in that time but would later die and could restart but eventually it died for good. To me it seems like an electrical issue with fuel pump not coming on. It doesn’t prime itself at all when turning key to on like you used to hear. It’s silent.
@lewaabahmad Жыл бұрын
@@smallgreentreefrog did you solve this problem? I just had to swap out the fuel pressure regulator to do it (going to replace starter next because it's wearing out slowly.)

I’m doing a starter replacement on a ‘95 Buick Regal Custom 3.8L, and the starter location and look is the same as this, EXCEPT I cannot get the motor out of the car after disconnecting it. There’s NO room underneath or above to take it out, without disconnecting all kinds of oil cool lines… any ideas?
@uglyhp82253 жыл бұрын
should be enough room
@Washyourpoptarts3 жыл бұрын
@@uglyhp8225 Unfortunately there wasn’t, I had to disconnect the AC pump lines to yank it out but I got it!

God dammit. This video looked promising, but this one missing the plastic flywheel cover already too. I cant find how to get it out, and it's already loose after I took the 10mm out. I been wiggling and tugging but its like caught on something. About to rip it out, so no response will save that from happening at this point lol.
@uglyhp82253 жыл бұрын
there is another 10mm on going in sideways by the body of the starter

@@uglyhp8225 I finally finagled it out in one piece. It was loose, but there was a stubborn motor mount just perfectly placed causing the headache. I got it done, AND I even replaced the plastic cover. It's always the jobs that look the easiest.
