I listen to an episode almost every night before falling asleep. Feels like I’m in a time capsule. Luv it.

I have been doing that as well. With this, Johnny Dollar and a few others. I wasn't born until 1970, but I really enjoy these!

There are a lot of dedicated folks who listen to these OTR plays. I’ve been hooked for about ten years. This is my fourth time through the ‘Gunsmoke’ catalog. Thanks for all you do for we, the fans.

I really enjoy the short facts Marshall Dillon tells about the Old West at the end of the program. It started at episode #185. My first love of OTR was ‘Yours Truly Johnny Dollar’. I must have listened through the entire catalog ten times and burnout set in. And with ‘Gunsmoke’ you have the total package. Superb acting, directing, sound and production. The sound effects are out of this world. So for me, ‘YTJD’ and ‘Gunsmoke’ are tops.

So THAT'S where Square One TV got the name "Johnny Dollar" from!

I listened to YTJD and Gunsmoke as a gradeschool kid growing up in the '50s. The rest of the weekend lineup included Indictment, The FBI in Peace and War, and others I don't remember. Johnny Dollar and Gunsmoke were my favorites though, to be joined in 1958 by Have Gun Will Travel with John Dehner as Paladin.

Second of two parts. The first time in the history of the series for two-part story lines. However, the first Gunsmoke "sequel" tale was "Tara" (S1, E29) which tells the further story of the hapless farm girl from S1, E21 "Home Surgery."

Matt Dillon has 642 notches in his gun but then again, who's counting?
@SAFC-yt5ct7 ай бұрын
Thank God William Conrad was a big man. He needed a belt his size to fit all those notches.
