Fury had the height advantage, the weight advantage, the reach advantage. He had the boxing establishment on his side. At the press conference it was announced that Turki was with Fury. He came to the ring with a big bushy beard and his shorts pulled up to his nipples and he still lost to the little rabbit middleweight. It’s a merry Christmas indeed!

Part of the issue is that people are watching a fight with all the excitement that goes along with that and they judge it on how it felt. Analysing a boxing bout and scoring it round by round is a completely different endeavour. I scored it the same as the judges. The other issue is that ‘controversy’, whether real or not, generates clicks. It’s become detrimental to the sport.

@@Disinfo321 The first four rounds were close and close enough that a couple could be scored even. If you have a few rounds like that in a row you tend not to score them all for the same fighter as it makes you question whether you’re being biased. The weight equivalent of an elite Middleweight beating a very good Cruiserweight. One fighter looked like and dictated the fight like a World Champion. Fury: never 'body beautiful,' for sure. But let's be real: too much body fat, which resulted [no surprise] in him being far too slow. There WAS a robbery last night [Allen] AND a razor thin fight [Edwards], but the main event was well scored.

The massive elephant in the ring many have missed is Deontay Wilder, ...for me the whole Fury Wilder trilogy over inflated Tyson Fury to some mythical status, here was a heavyweight with a huge right hand delivered at lightening speed, but that was it !!.... the reality is that Wilder has very limited boxing skills, NO jab and poor movement...but that explosive right hand always bought jeapordy..... As a youth he will have knocked people over at school, then at the boxing gyms, coming forwards blasting everybody out , a flat track bully....Fight 1 of the trilogy was absorbing drama, brilliantly marketed.....then one day Fight 2 , Fury now in his head, going front foot for once, straight across the ring walking Deontay backwards for the first time in his life !!, the bully quickly becoming the bullied, with no boxing skills to get him out the 's*it, quickly unraveling , he was done....Facts are that Fury had beaten an average fighter, limited boxing skills but a big right hand.. Fury a far superiuor boxer drew with an average one once and beat him twice..

I disagree that this was actually that close of a fight. I think you can make a case for Fury winning the 10th round but that's the only round he won after the 7th. I know that compubox isn't an exact science but if it's a super close round and you're wondering who landed more punches then look at compubox because Fury got outlanded in every round from 6 to12. He actually got outlanded in every round except the first round which was a tie. On top of that if it's a very close friend I like to look at who the aggressor is and who's fighting cleaner and that was always Usyk. You can make a case for Fury in the 10th because he did outland the power punches but not by a wide margin. I had this fight 9 rounds to 3 because I thought that Usyk did just enough to win all of those "very close" rounds. I could see giving a couple of those to Fury which would make it 7 rounds to 5 which a lot of people had. This was very clearly a win for the champion. Also it was a win that I'm sure a lot of people in boxing did not want him to have so he had to clearly win in order to get that victory. They would love to have Anthony Joshua fighting Tyson Fury for the three belts but the better man won. R.I.P. Fury always getting the nod in close fights. Also sorry for what happened to the White Rhino.
@larrysellers78914 күн бұрын
First four rounds were close. Round five was Fury’s best round. From six onwards Usyk took charge of the fight and Fury won a single round in the second half. Fury doesn’t follow a strategy and he switches up on a whim. He walked Usyk down in round five and the size and weight advantage was startling. He then reverted back to boxing against a superior boxer. Any chance he may have had was over there and then.
