Just watched your 70's series on Max Forti's channel. What a great idea!! Loved how you complimented each other by choosing vastly different scents. He appeals to a different audience, but I think that audience would immensely benefit (expansion of horizons comes to mind 😉)and enjoy your work once they are exposed to it. And we are all rooting for more exposure for you anyways. Brought back so many memories....... love, love, love!!!! ❤️🙏

Well, this is too kind, thank you. I enjoy working with Max. As you say, I think the differences between our approaches actually work well, when combined.

I posted about this one on my IG acct just this morning. I had the samples since last September and just revisited them a few weeks ago and like you Violet Shot was a must have. Love it!!

I just recently purchased a sample of this, along with several other samples, from Jovoy London. Looking forward to testing this one even more now after your watching your review. Thanks Persolaise.

Oh I can't believe I missed that one snif ! Happy anniversary ! 😁 Violet shot is my favourite from the line and it may be my favourite violet fragrance now. The ones you were referring to by Michel Almairac were Cuir Amethyste and Eau de velours. I have them and I really love them too.🥰 This green/violet is just gorgeous. The evolution and that vanilla behind ... 💜💜💜

Ah, I’m glad you agree. I was so impressed with it. Thank you for watching.

Hi Persolaise I actually just discovered this one and it is fantastic. I normally struggle with overtly violet heavy scents but this is really not in that sickly sweet camp at all. It's also my favourite of the Dominic Ropions😊 I also agree with you on the names. The names really do not do the perfumes justice.

I Love Violet Shot!!!!❤️I generally don’t go for florals, but this is stunning. I bought 15 ml first and about 4 hours ago bought 100ml. Its so damn good.

I'm so late to the party bc of online schooling🙄 but SO very excited about this series, I loved the Vanilla one earlier. This flinty quality violet I'm the most curious about. Unusual violets are always worth exploring! I know I've been bugging you with this before but I'm sure this would fit nicely on a best violets list 😏(hint hint)...

Best violets would be quite tough, but I’ll see what I can do. Thanks very much for watching.

I tested iris shot and violet shot. I found Violet Shot too sweet. I heard you disagree, but I also thought Violet Shot smelled similar to Insolence. I wish I could smell what you described. In the end, I opted for Iris shot. Great review!

That’s fine - the main thing is to find a perfume *you* enjoy. Thanks for watching 😊

I've tested all Shots. And my favourite ones are Iris and Vanile, but I like Violet as well and have to re-test Rose as he didn't catch my heart completely. Thanks.

Happy anniversary! I tried the discovery set of the sepia collection. Was disappointed that the iris was so sweet. Thought the best were Violet Shot and Leather Shot. Primed with the “sepia” association, my mind immediately went to shot silk, rather than any other meaning for shot.
@Persolaise3 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes of course, interesting. And then there’s ‘shot’ as ‘photo’, which ties in with the brand. Thanks for watching.

Of course! I forgot about that 🙂

I love a violet note in perfume. So funny violet is featured when I was just considering blind buying Violette by Molinard but I keep stopping myself. Maybe this is a better one. Is this at all like vintage Balmain Jolie Madame? I have that one and love it so much! Thank you, and I like your shirt! Julia

Thanks very much, Julia. I haven’t smelt the Balmain for ages, so I wouldn’t like to comment.

Hi Persolaise! Would you consider this to be among your Top 5 best violet perfumes? What would be your number 1? I loooove violets since I was a child, in fact it may be one of my first olfactory memories and I am still on a hunt for a perfect violet perfume. Thank you!
@Persolaise3 жыл бұрын
I’d have to give that some thought. Insolence is one that comes to mind straight away.

@@Persolaise Thank you! I haven't smelled that one so far...I will have to... When I think of a perfect violet perfume, I think of a forest in early spring, the snow has just melted and the sun is tickling the air...something herbal/ earthy with violets... :-)
