"Oligarchs" are not just Russian billionaires. The Greek word means: "the few who rule (over the many)". Every country where lobbyists are allowed to negotiate with chosen leaders has oligarchs. Lobbyists speak on behalf of big corporations and they ruin democracy and capitalism. Democracy requires that each citizen has an equal say in elections. And capitalism relies upon equal opportunities for competition. If we allow the game to be rigged in favour of those who can afford to lobby, we are no longer a capitalist democracy.

democracy - the greek word means:"demos rules others" democracy regime include 4 main groups of people: demos - rule meker group, free people non demos or not citizenships - the group without rule power, people have freedom under laws slaves - the group with lots of freedom restriction and foreign citizens - thar have freedom under special laws while they are on territory. for now u have fiat money and social borders and mind mass control(like mass culture and ect) that control people group mixing. so ur "Democracy requires that each citizen has an equal say in elections" - is an empty pompous statement

Russian Oligarchs are very different thing. They are basically mafia state. In America lot of business might do shady practices, but they maintain some appearances at least. In America someone who creates competing business that starts being successful will most likely get bribed and bought out by the corporation. In Russia they will be disappeared, not before gifting the company to the oligarch. It is different kind of power basically. Both groups are rich because they have some sort of power that they are using to maintain their wealth. So end result of being rich is the same, but that power itself is different between USA and Russia.

That makes it a bit too easy. They are no more criminals than Jeff Bezo, or any other US businessman who evades taxes. They probably got their profitable companies legally - the president sold them to them = business deal. And morally wrong? Yeah, theres a difference though. Russian oligarchs got rich because the government (putin) gave them control over russia's resources. It's a state-given monopoly. It would be like if Rockafeller were given an exclusive contract to build all the railroads in the entire continent, and told not to worry about competition because the government would arrest them. There's no such thing as anti-monopoly laws in Russia, quite the opposite its more like a yes-monopoly law. In fact, there are only three countries in the world America hasn’t invaded or have never seen a U.S. military presence: Andorra, Bhutan, and Liechtenstein.American historian Christopher Kelly and British historian Stuart Laycock are the authors of “America Invades: How We’ve Invaded Or Been Militarily Involved With Almost Every Country on Earth.” They define “invasion” as “an armed attack or intervention in a country by American forces.” Americans have been invading other countries since before America was a thing, as early as 1741, when the North American battleground for the War of Austrian Succession was called King George’s War - one of the French and Indian Wars. That’s a lot of wars. According to Kelly and Laycock’s book, the United States has invaded or fought in 84 of the 193 countries recognized by the United Nations and has been militarily involved with 191 of 193 - a staggering 98 percent. For those asking me who do I support between Russia & Ukraine, I support . . . . Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Kashmir, Rohingya, Uyghurs and others who were brutally murdered while the peacemakers of the world watched the show.
