Great review. I just ordered the BL and watched 5 or 6 review videos with your video being the only one that mentioned tightening the two inner screws. Also, I am color blind with green, orange, and red so the blue stood out for me. Thank you!

Definitely looks like the blue laser has a lot of "splash". So it's just for aesthetic purposes it seems. Although if you're training with other people, it might be beneficial for each individual or team to be running different colors.

I got the blue laser because I have a very slight red and green color blindness. I did some research and figured I would buy the blue one.

Thank you for the comparison. I wish you included the red. I'm trying to figure out the best one for my gun and me. Blue is pretty and is my favorite color but looks like it might be more difficult to see at times. I don't like the color red but I need to choose the one I can see the best in any lighting. Between blue & green, I'd pick green.

The blue is probably less likely to give away your location to the opposing shooter, whereas they could easily tell where the green one is coming from due to the color and also lighting up dust particles.

So will this one fit my smith and Wesson m and p performance center 9mm ez, I got a baldr pro r an it doesn't fit with the different fitting, won't go past first rail, also the quick release on the one your showing doesn't do this either,so I believe I'll order this one

tests show GREEN is BRIGHTEST then RED then BLUE, but BLUE Is super COOL, I have the GREEN one and it is CRAZY BRIGHT, TOO BRIGHT, it has fractal beams coming off it that light up the area. I am fine with it being so BRIGHT, you can see it in the day at shooting distance.

The Olight baldr s and the Olight baldr s bl are the same correct in size. I know the bl had a blue light.

Maybe it’s the camera, but the blue looks easier for me to pick up. Again, like you said maybe it’s just the camera. My eyes are instantly drawn to that blue, as the green it takes a second to register.

re comments about the BLUE LIGHT kinda being inferior or just for esthetical. yeah nah. We have such a thing called GREEN DOTS now, not just Red dots. having a different color than your sights is a good thing.

ehhhh being the special fork isn't always good. The green spectrum is easier to detect from the eyes but that wavelength uses about 25% more power. So it comes at a cost. The blue isn't really easier to see but is even further up the wavelength in terms of power requirements. So yes, you can have it but there are legit reasons why blue is stupid. -Walsh

It may not, but the blue doesn't jump out at you at all. Particularly against a bright flashlight. Your mileage may vary.

Why in the world would you not test them at a longer distance. As close as you tested those you don't need a laser or any site of any kind. I sure wish you would have compared them at a distance.

How long would you want test it? Most time we use lasers to account for height over bore at short distances and that's really it. The laser is only accurate at once distance so zero'ing at like 25-30 yards is a tad weird. -Walsh

@@ThinLineDefenseCo a laser on a handgun has never been about pinpoint accuracy. It's about quick acquisition 2 Center of mass without having to focus on a fixed-site. It appears that you only tested it at about 15 or 20 ft in which case you don't really need a site at all to hit Center of mass at 15 or 20 ft. Yes I would like to see how well it performs at 15 or 20 yards.

@@steveh7108 at that distance if you base your aim purely on the laser you most probably won't even hit your target. Lasers are mostly useless really, to train dry fire they're good, or in really specific situations, but again, at longer distances, useless.
