GraymanTactics, I've had this light for about 1.5 yrs now and have carried it every single day since owning it (using it almost every day too) and must say that I love it. I think I see what you're seeing in the video but when using it in real life I've never noticed this.

I've been using an Olight with a similar operation (M22), and this 2-button/3-button operation isn't easy to get consistently or rapidly; not within 1/4 of a second. I wish they had a "weapon light mode" I could access and put the flashlight into. I still prefer the AA setup as a backup light: no matter where I am I can a AA battery, even in a SHTF, there's still going to be lots of AA batteries around. Every house in America has AA batteries in their TV remote control or somewhere. They're cheap, also rechargeable, but they are limited in brightness.

If you wanted primarily to use it as a taclight (weapons mounted for example), couldn't you use the side memory button to program the primary rear button to default to "High" with one press? Wouldn't it then operate like any simple taclight, Surefire P60 etc?

+Going Gear You?
@risingawareness139 жыл бұрын
+Going Gear Yeah, I would like to talk to some of those people. Someone who's used it (not just tested it) for a significant duration of time and has relied on it as a weapon light (and not just a range toy, either). Maybe someone who's beat it up a bit and can speak about its durability.

+Going Gear I want tough, smallish, with a brightness of about 300 lumens. I'm currently using a Surfire x300 Ultra (600 lumens) which is too bright for home defense/cqb type of stuff (amazing for outdoors, though). I think I've decided on the Surefire G2X. I like the robustness of a Surefire because you can smash them on stuff and they don't break. I want to be able to drop the rifle mounted light (with the weight of the rifle) on a rock without it breaking from at least 6 feet up.
