Fun fact, since that looks like Frog Tape, you can also use water to activate the tape. Paint is better, in my opinion, but it's the water in the paint that activates the Secret Puffy Stuff in the adhesive. :D

Really like the final design. I see why people liked green but the end result is very good too. And the accents in the intersections are beautiful. It reminds me of the bands used to make ribbons or wrap presents. Also, congratulations on finishing! 🎉

I've used stencils on my mini models and yes, doing a base layer of the base colour before going in with your main colour is definitely the way to go. the first layer pretty much always bleeds under your stencil.

When i sold paint at home depot i had a customer do this, except they used the same color in a higher sheen as the second paint. So you could see the pattern only from an angel, but straigh on it looked like a single colored wall.

The green and navy looked so much better than that blue will look with only the white that matches your other walls. Hope there’s more color going on top and that you’ve just convinced yourself that you need to do every possible step. Perfectionism is a challenge, I understand that! 😂

I would have needed a small roller and my small roller was for flat trim and walls so I used the brush to make sure to get in all the crevices
