I took care of my grandmother from 2008-2019. She was bed ridden and it was either me or a nursing home. It just so happened that I stole money from her years prior and the time she needed help was the time I came back around. She forgave me and I moved in, we began a relationship of grandson/grandmother that I never would've imagined. The times we went though, the issues I have her and all the money I spent. I was insane and she didnt deserve any of it but because she loved me she kept me around. I didnt deserve her and I wish looking back she kicked me out at the very start...but she didnt. Now, she passed away in 2019 and 5 years later my drinking has spiraled. I have lost everything but my apartment and job, at least THIS job. Zero friends, Zero hope...No one has any idea and everyone thinks I am 'Mr. Boston' and an 'extrovert' Not sure how to play my next move. lol

I know what you mean. It's taken me 7 years to try to push through and work on fixing things in my life. I still don't understand what's wrong with me or why I feel like this, but I'm struggling every day to just feel a little bit better or improve my situation a little at a time. Some days I feel like an absolute failure, but I know if I just keep trying, somehow I will make it through. I believe we will both get through this, keep your chin up battle.

We all feel the same way. Watched good people, good friends, die for nothing fighting for a country that doesn't know or care, and for a handful of rich old boomers who never cared about 'winning' in the first place. Came home to find the country turned into a vapid economic zone with plummeting quality of life, no borders, and nothing to believe in or hold up as a unifying identity anymore. Scratching by even in 'skilled labor' just trying to make it to the next day while a handful of people who live like gods go out of their way to make life harder and crappier for everyone else, robbing us of freedom and privacy through tech and bureaucracy. Every day I can't help but ask myself why any of us even bother, or tolerate it. This country is utterly finished and I hope people wake up enough to at least replace this country with something better rather than leave it all in the hands of a small group that hates us and views us as cattle.

I am in the US Army and currently on my 9th month of deployment somewhere in the middle east. This song hits, I want to go home. I miss my wife and I miss my dog. I'm scared to go home at the same time, going back to my job and struggling to pay my bills and survive. Living with my in-laws because it's impossible to find a home in his market, doing everything I possibly can for my wife and my family. Working 50+ hour weeks and going to school part time in my 30's. I want to go home, but home doesn't sound like home. This lingering war is a constant reminder that I may have to leave my family again shortly and I'm stuck in this loop of doing what I need to do and failing to be there for my wife. I just want to go home. I just want a home.

I get a little flustered each time I listen to this. Having no home, support system, and people who purposely making the most simple tasks impossible while enjoying it takes a toll on you so hard words cannot explain. It’s really eye opening to see and read how many people are in so much pain. Spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. So many are fed up with this new world. Growing up in the 80s and 90s was such a blessing. I’m 45. I can’t imagine how people older than me feel about it. It’s like living in a bad dream. Mostly nightmares. All of my hope, praise and honor be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! One day we will be HOME. This certainly isn’t it.

I feel for y'all's generation. You got handed a big bag of crap. I'm 53 and what I tell my kids is that you have to look back in time and understand and appreciate what your ancestors went through. Some lived during the good times and had it easy, and some survived through absolute Hell, and were able to pass on their genes to you (the weak men = hard times loop). Imagine living through the Great Depression, the Civil War and Indian Wars, plagues, the Dark Ages, the collapse of Rome, invasions by Huns and Mongols, the Ice Age. This filter that we're about to go through will weed out the weak and the strong will have descendants to carry on their memories. The rest will be forgotten. Don't give up, wake up every day ready to fight for something. Someone in your past kept on going when all seemed to be lost or was too hard to carry on.

Cryin' here. I feel it, but there is much reason to rejoice. These are the birth pangs of bringing a significant chunk of Home... here. We were told in Sunday School all the way back in the 70s that Christianity would be persecuted beyond anything we can imagine in modern time. That's happening. We were told that the gulf between good and evil would widen, becoming more and more obvious. There would be no way to stand undecided in the middle, that evil would become more and more powerful, but good would as well, and good would be called evil, and evil good. That's happening. We were told that the Gospel would be preached to all the world. That's within the realm of possibility. It is certainly being preached in some of the places where it has never been allowed before. We were told the secret works of darkness would be exposed before all the world. That's certainly happening. We can be upset that so many either don't believe the exposure or don't care, or we can celebrate how much easier that makes it to discern who is embracing the evil, or ignoring it (which isn't much better), and identify our fellow warriors. We were told it was "the Geat and Terrible Day of the Lord"... great for some, terrible for others... depending on where we stand. That is soon to come upon us. We can get discouraged and bemoan the Terrible, but it may be wiser to dwell on the Great that is coming, to remember that there are more with us than against us, and that God Almighty will triumph, and we are His army. It will get darker, far darker, but it is always darkest before the dawn, and I want to be here when the Son rises in the east, wipes away all our sorrows, and ushers in His kingdom. I want to be here for that.

I am Canadian and was a drug addict from the age of 12, for half of my life until I came to know the Lord at 24. I feel Oliver's pain, for I went through a lot myself, having lost many friends far too early - many before they were out of their teens. Albany Oregon. All the grass fields, linn county oregon was the grass seed capital of the world. Our county supplied all the grass for the south Africa world cup. It has all gone to subdivisions where giant 500k houses sit on small 10k land plots.
