Oliver Reed lived the life he wanted. When you look back at his film history he was a bloody icon of acting !

I love The Word but they tried to make Oliver Reed look like an old, out of date drunk, and in truth he has more class than Terry Christian could ever have.

They interviewed him again around 1994 and they asked him if he was scared when he fell off a boat into the sea and he replied 'no-one wants to be shat out by a sardine, Richard'.

Richard and Judy, the second interview didn't have a clue in giving Oliver a decent question, Reed loves talk g about certain things, not the crap they asked him,if they had asked about his early Hammer horror films, then his ,biautiful house he had Surrey and the Isle of white, or ask him about Ireland,,they didn't have a clue, no wounder he started getting vindictive.just to Brighton up the proceedings .still we who have tuned in all love Oliver for what he is , one of the greatest entertainers in the world,.

I've read that Oliver Reed just act that he was drunk on The Word, and that the bottle of Whisky in his room was filled with water. I don't know if it true or not. But anyway, Olli was an amazing man.
