Interpretation on this song: This is about forcing yourself to go through things you physically aren't comfortable with; particularly stuff revolving around sex most likely. My guess regarding the sexual themes is due to the tone and diction of certain bits of the lyrics "burst into climax, gone with your touch, juices ooze out". The tarantula itself is meant to be metaphorical of the fear of going through sex when you aren't ready. And I think the choice to use Oliver, a literal child, as the vocaloid of choice to sing, reflects that sense of uneasiness and imaturity that comes with sexuality. The song in general is quit depressing as Oliver forces himself to get over his fear when he clearly isn't ready. It makes him feel sick and uncomfortable with himself, but ultimately, he ignores those feelings and just focuses on the idea that he "overcame his fears" as a coping mechanism.

I used to listen to this song when I was younger and I didn't see what made me love this song so much as a kid until now. That is quite an eye opening theory and its exactly my thought process/coping mechanism as a kid. And unfortunately it led me to be SA. I had asked advice from people who I really shouldnt have asked because they weren't afraid of sex, and suggested to try and go for it, experiment, "you never know unless you try" was the advice people gave for when i wasnt certain about things. The people i had dated werent very nice or caring either and knew i wasn't comfortable but didnt exactly really care. Anyways, i think boundaries and fears need to be talked about more and more accepted. And you don't need to conquer all your fears :)

People are saying they get sexual vibes from this song and I get where y’all are coming from, but the first thing that comes to mind for me is ASD/autism. The way I interpret the lyrics is someone experiencing sensory overload, it sounds like someone getting overwhelmed and having a breakdown. I will try to explain: ‘my senses collapse’ being overwhelmed to the point where you can’t understand what’s happening around you. ‘The flavours amass, my visions start to clash’ people with ASD can get overstimulated if a lot is happening and have a breakdown/panic attack/sensory overload. ‘Thought circuits start to lag, everything leaves my nauseous’ a lot of autistic people (including me) have trouble thinking when having sensory overload, and this might just be me, I don’t see many others talk about it, but when I’m overwhelmed I get really nauseous and feel tired. Sorry for the long comment and if I haven’t explained it well, I am not very good at english but I thought I should share my interpretation of this beautiful song. Everyone has their own opinion, though, so please respect mine, there are a lot of other very good opinions on this song. If anyone reading has anything to add please leave a reply, Thanks.

This is a really interesting interpretation! I think you could also read into the second verse; the fact each line is only one word representing a panicked/overloaded train of thought. Additionally, the first four words "Imagination, Misconception, Fabrication, Self-Deception" all relating to lying, followed by "Dissolution", describing either a depraved lifestyle, or the disintegration of something into a solution. I prefer the latter, because it fits with the final three "Indigestion, Suppuration, Decomposition" all being related to the body, or digestion. I interpret it as the speaker first focusing on a coping mechanism/trying to distract themselves, then becoming horribly aware of what's happening once they actually do it due to the "Dissolution'" of their defenses and the "Indigestion" adding to the overload. Suppuration and Decomposition could be a look back into the speaker's mind, as they fixate on what exactly is happening - pus forming and oozing, flesh rotting and bleeding.

The horror. Oh, God, the horror. Those fuzzy legs creepily moving down the table, those large, intimidating fangs covered in venom, those eight eyes of death staring deeply at him... What more could've been asked? But it was what he wanted. And as the tarantula's legs curled around the permeated air of fear, touching the mahogany table with a faux gentle touch (how it sickened God and his angels! The work of the devil, that arachnid was!), the child stared deeply while the thought, that horrifying thought, had still mesmerized his mind. The child's lips trembled and his skin crawled. He had to touch it. He held his hand out to the edge of the table, and the spider was hesitant. It paused as if analyzing the situation. Then, with a simple movement, the child felt like screaming. The feel of the tarantula crawling on his hand was overwhelming. His palm was covered in sweat in the span of seconds, and the hairs upon his arms stood up on end. There were no tears and no voice came out of his tiny throat. Almost on instinct, the boy raised the spider to his lips. He gazed almost lovingly into its eyes as if staring at the face of God. His fingers curled around its abdomen (oh God let it be over with already!) and slowly opened his mouth. Surely there must have been another way to conquer such a fear! Surely there must have been another way to not fear a spider! Yet the child was determined. He felt the spider's legs touch the corners of his mouth and his tongue. His warm breath caused the tarantula to reel back in shock, but his hand would not stop lowering it down...down... A flash of fangs. A grotesque _squish._ If the spider could've made any sort of noise, it would've been a howling, piercing scream in pure agony, like the souls of the damned wailing in the maw of Hell. The boy felt the warm, bitter hemolymph dripping down his lip, it coating the insides of his teeth, his tongue, his cheeks... He could feel it slowly travelling down his gullet. He could feel the spider squirming in agony, those pathetic legs wriggling like a worm caught in a bird's beak, he could feel those fangs frantically trying to bite his tongue in retaliation to no avail, he could feel the fear leaving his body after so many years of the burden on his shoulders... His mind was deadening and his thoughts were flashing. Why would you do it? Don't you...how could you... The child swallowed the lifeblood of the writhing beast, feeling its hairy limbs thrashing about in his mouth. His teeth clamped down once again on the spider, and those damned legs finally stopped twitching. His eyes bulged wide as the sickening taste of its flesh was overwhelming. The boy gulped audibly, feeling it slide down his throat. But with it, with the spider's mangled corpse, he swallowed the fear. Yes, the fear was gone. Shoved deep into his stomach. The fear was gone. But now he became what he feared. Not a spider. Not a tarantula. A *_monster._*
