"very appreciative" of an apology that took years and lots of social demands to be "properly" said... Has always sound like a half apology to many of us... "we didn't make that picture, we didn't know the source" and that's literally why he shouldn't have posted it in the first place. It's not like you stole the picture of a cute flower or a cute animal taken from google, it's a f u n e r a l, even if already edited. I don't waste my energy hating on anyone, it just makes me upset when people don't acknowledge their mistakes properly and in reasonable time by themselves while others are hurting. And i'm sure i'm not the only one feeling this way. He does sound regretful here, yeah thank you for not omitting it here and sharing your experience through the issue here, but still never admitted that the actual mistake was using others' pictures and not only doing research on the source.

@@kao1613He’s apologized numerous times before this public outcry and literally posted an apology when he posted the image for the first time. What do you mean by “took years and social demands” to make an apology?? Also he literally stated how he is not in control of what is posted to his social media, he has to spend his time on other endeavors. He can’t research every picture and find the time to do all of that, so of course it’s possible that a crack opens and somebody like that gets out

i appreciate his apology regarding the jonghyun photo. i still have mixed feelings about him though since i miss jonghyun so much but it still sucks for oliver since he’s been through a lot of death at a young age. if he truly didn’t cared he would’ve kept the photo up and disregarded all of it.

The fact that theirs an entire section about the melberries is wild. Oliver has feelings too, and the fact you made him go into a depression when the artist you are stanning talks about mental health is wild to me. Oliver captured me with his music well before I ever knew what he looked like. I remember hearing Hurt and Alien Boy and thinking he really had some true talent that I couldn't wait to hear more of. When I first saw him, I couldn't have been happier with his character. It really is a great juxtaposition when paired with the depth of his lyrics and messages. Watching him open up here and on the recent H3 Podcast has given me even more respect for him and has solidified me as a true fan. I sincerely hope his music continues to get the attention it deserves and that people start to think of him more as an incredible human than a goofy character.

Hopefully from now on people won't bully him anymore and realize how much unfounded bullshit on the internet can hurt a real person's feelings and actually lead to depression. It's a shame that he had to go through this, but I'm happy that he is processing all this hard stuff in his life in a healthy and mature way and that art is a big part of it btw. This Interview was REALLY helpful. I've only seen his interviews with H3H3 (where he came off as this very rude role) and knew about the southstar problems but didn't know he was not involved (from my perspective, Oliver actively pursued the "well it's mine so I take the remix as well" route). Hearing all this from him in a very "normal" talk helped a lot.

I was beginning to get a big jaded, honestly, with team ups with people like Belle Delphine. Hearing him talk about the funeral picture as well as the Miss You remix, it's clear to me that there is no malice in his actions. All I can hope is that he really vets everyone he works with and everything he posts from here on out.
