I went into a deep dark place that wasn't good for me or anyone else. I shut myself off to the world. In doing that I messed myself up pretty bad and got pretty bad off. As a result, I haven't left my house in over 3 years. I have only been outside a few times. John Denver is sitting there with a smile on his face with your dog by his side both entranced by that soul touching rendition. John at peace with a commending twinkle in his eye while gently giving your passed pup pets filled with the love and glory of God. Giving him comfort until he’s by your side again. Or at least that’s what I believe. Well Done OA, definitely a rendition of this song that will carry on through time with the original. Perfection of simplicity. One instrument, one voice, one timeless soul, nothing else needed other than an ear. It was a privilege to have lent said ear.

Grew up in CA but my mom, sis and I sang this song all the time growing up, especially on car trips. You did it far better justice than we ever did. Grew up poor in late 70s, 80s, no tape deck or other source of music, so we just sang things like Amazing Grace, Oh Beautiful, Silent Night, etc. John Denver, Kate Wolf, and Willie Nelson still my all time childhood favorites ❤

I spent almost the first half of my life in Boston where I was born. But I've lived in WV for 20 years now and it is without a doubt my home! I start to get homesick as soon as I cross that state line. I love WV more than anywhere else I've ever been in my life and I'll never leave this beautiful state!!

I never thought anyone would touch Denver's song. This comes damn close... a version for our times. Rougher, tougher yet raw in its power and beauty.

Thanks so much for sharing your gift of music with us. Every time I listen to your music it takes me back to when my dad and mom were still around. Pops was a coal miner and mom a home maker that we transplanted to the city when I was little. They didn’t fit in but we made it work! Thanks sir.

I just want to thank you, Oliver. You are one of the biggest reasons artistically why we won the election this year. Your song really broke down racial barriers once again and opened the eyes of a crap ton of Americans in both parties. God bless you. You are a hero 🙏
