I pray one of these days I will be able to see you in person and shake your hand. My wife passed away 5 years ago, actually is was about 5 years and 3 hours to the minute from sending this message. I went into a deep dark place that wasn't good for me or anyone else. I shut myself off to the world. In doing that I messed myself up pretty bad and got pretty bad off. As a result, I haven't left my house in over 3 years. I have only been outside a few times. Your music gives me a peace and serenity that soothes the pain I feel inside and I am able to smile and have hope again. You have a beautiful property. Living here, every version that comes out is usually played to death. This is the one that I won't mind hearing constantly. Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Tennessee, but my daddy grew up in Monongahela National Forest before it was a national forest, near Fenwick and Richwood, if you know where that is. I still have many cousins there. He often talked about the mountains when I was growing up and loved nothing better than taking me for a long drive, then a long walk among the hills along a creek banks.

@ I grew up in Fairmont WV… about 2 hours south of Pittsburgh PA. The mountains of WV are truly beautiful especially in the fall when the leaves change colors. I moved to Franklin TN in 1997 after meeting my now husband online. I still have family in WV so I try to make it back there a couple times a year.

Sang this with my sisters in the 70s. Just recently learned that my mom has an other blockage in her heart and fluid in her right lung. She's 89 yrs old. She came from deep swain county NC and my dad from Yancey NC. He's been gone since 1989 not sure if I'm ready for mom to go 😢but I know God has a plan for me and my 6 brothers and sisters.
