This can sound ridiculous, but i had hard time to get the good shape for the character ! Could you show on a short tutorial how you get that shape easily ? Thanks :)

I made a circle for the top and a rectangle with rounded edges for the bottom part. Then I opened both of the paths up and connected the points. After tweaking the handles I got the final shape 🙌

hey! i really like the video!!! but i have a question why do u use toggle hold keyframes? for what? why can't i use easy ease instead of toggle hold when i start doing the animation? what is the main "purpose" of these toggle hold keyframes?

It’s to focus on the timing of everything before I start easing anything. This step is called blocking out the animation. People tend to do it to save time by making the adjustments before the animation is eased, offset or anything like that. You can try googling “blocking out animation”, if you want to know more.

Hey man at 8:19 you didn't explain any of that at all, you just jump to there being keyframes. How do I get the XY position on the CTRL? I bought the character ai file for $3 so I would have appreciated more explanation there.

Hey there! Thanks for buying the project file. You simply right click the position and "separate dimensions". That way you get the x- and y-position, and you can just animate the y-position to move up and down. As I mentioned, at that point of time, I'm using hold keyframes. You can toggle these by selecting the keyframes, right clicking and "toggle hold keyframes". I hope that helps you out :)
