@@icarusgotooclose lots of already successful acts open for bigger acts especially when they’re just starting out, maybe only have a 1 or 2 big hit songs. Taylor plays stadiums, that’s an experience a lot of people want to have and getting in front of an audience that big is a huge opportunity for someone’s career. Part of how Ed Sheeran blew up in the US was opening for Taylor on her Red Tour. That’s how Taylor herself got where she is, touring with every huge country act in the early years of her career.

She good, Taylor has a better control of her breath so can change ranges. I 💕 LOVE Taylor songs when it’s her and the piano or guitar. The best thing about TS COUNTRY, POP, FOLK. Take any song no matter how produced with vocals and instruments they all started stripped down. At the root, that’s what pop singers forget sometimes. She a master at, lyrics visual images and I come from a heavy metal era. Yet TS just nails it, still think Reputation was a great but she got black balled b/c she came taking hits and names. She was mad and you can’t blame her knowing what lies were found out. Witches burn 🔥 witches too. Not many in the generation can do what she has and will continue to do. Don’t get me wrong there’s up and coming artist, Olivia R already learned a HUGE LESSON from TS, she won’t have to fight for her masters. Yet, I think why didn’t people learn from Prince. He struggled with the same thing. Changed his name to a symbol. TS I think was already in a contract by then. Prince was the original person to come out against music industry about control. Yet TS did a lot for young streaming artists with getting paid. Wow I really wonder if he were still alive with the difference in style they would have been a great collaboration. They both fought for the time era of future artists. As great as Michel Jackson was, he never (at least that I know of) used his voice to help further future artists. Yet, he learned to own other artists masters, which bit Paul McCartney butt cause he gave MJ the idea. Sorry this was so long, I really don’t comment just, thought I would today. You’re absolutely right every musician is influenced by another. Absolutely correct when you say that they learn from those whom come before. TS mentioned this many times from Older county song writer/ singers to Carly Simon. Love your reviews
