Disney's Old Key West is the original Disney Vacation Club Resort and home to a restaurant many consider to be a hidden gem, Olivia's Cafe. This charming cafe is situated right next to the lobby of Old Key West with homey décor reminiscent of a seaside cottage. The story and theme of this restaurant centers around Olivia, a 60 year old woman who loved to cook and decided to open up a café in the harbor town of Old Key West. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to learn that Olivia’s has a basis in history and storytelling - it is Disney, after all - but I truly had no idea! We’ve always heard good things about this place. As DVC members, OKW is one of the resorts on our radar for a future stay, so we’re really hoping to make it here someday in the not-too-distant future. A 40 minute delay on getting seated, though, holy cow! 😮 It’s an even more popular dining reservation than I had originally thought! I gotta say, though, the fritters alone might justify the popularity. I’m a huge fritter fan and those suckers looked mouthwatering 🤤 The bread pudding had a darker exterior than I expected, but the 8’s don’t lie! And a perfect 10 for the chicken? 🔥🔥🔥 Olivia’s fame continues to grow lol thanks for sharing, guys - great video, as always!

I always try to do a little research before visiting a new place and I love the imagineering backstories. I’ve had friends rave about this resort for years & it’s a shame we didn’t get there sooner. The wait really started things off on a bad note but things quickly turned around & we left there big fans! You know I’m not a seafood eater, but the fritters were 💣 WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!! Chris you need this chicken. If I can order take out I'll bring you some when you're here. The gravy, it being marinated in the buttermilk, and how incredibly juicy it was made it one of the greatest fried chickens of all time. Happy we could show it to you 😃.

Love Olivia's! Have only been twice! Once before our wedding and back in 2020 when Disney World opened back up. Old Key West rooms are HUGE! The Grounds are pretty too. Geez! On the 40 minutes after your reservation. Dang. We have never tried the fritters but now I wanna try it. That bread pudding looks good but why did they add the sausage in the sauce! 😭 (I don't like when food touches) 😂 Love the chicken there. So good! We love the chicken from there and prefer it over Disneylands. So good. 😂 Sam is me. I would be screaming about taking chicken home too if I knew about the to go menu. ❤ And I've never heard of that term Jay. Quick and Dirty. Good to know! Awesome video as always.

We've heard this place was a hidden gem and were blown away. Completely get it now. Hope we can stay here one day. The grounds and Olivia's are incredibly charming. They apologized about the wait and since it was Mother's Day we think it was a bit more hectic. I agree the sausage should come on another plate but I think some people like a little sweetness. Like that maple bacon flavor people love. Maybe they were going for that. The chicken was heavenly and can confirm, yes, even better than Disneyland's. Can't wait to go back for dinner. If that term isn't regularly used than my Grandpa has some explaining to do 😆. Thank you 😃.

Hello and thank you 🙂. Oh man, that is a tough question 😆. I think it's all preference. For me, I enjoy the chicken plate at Olivia's. The Homecomin' Chicken had more breading, it's amazing and I don't think you'll be disappointed with either. Also, as a whole, I think Homecomin has a better menu.
